As Formula 1 descended on Monaco, thousands of fans flocked to the harbour for the 76th running of the prestigious Grand Prix, with Red Eye Events in prime position to give its guests a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

After a wet and rainy start to the week, normal service resumed as the Monaco weather returned to its usual best; just in time for deliveries from our partners such as Savse, Kingfisher and Martini aboard our trackside yacht. With the deliveries unloaded, the Red Eye Events team made their final preparations ahead of a weekend of high-octane racing, Champagne bubbles and live music.

Red Bull Redemption

Around the twisting streets, the racing was an all Red Bull-affair, with Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo claiming a grand slam, no easy feat in Formula 1! After topping each of the practice sessions, the Red Bull drivers traded places at the top of the tables, before Ricciardo would eventually top the times by beating the circuits outright lap record with a 1:11.481s.

After claiming pole position on Saturday, Daniel looked set to overcome his nightmare weekend of 2016, which saw him miss out on victory as a result of a poorly timed pitstop. Thankfully though, a clean start to the race ahead of Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel seemed to look towards a straight forward victory for the Aussie, until lap 30. A loss of power prevented the RBR machine from entering 7th or 8th gear. Astonishingly Ricciardo fought on in what will go down as one of the all-time great Monaco victories, fending off the pursuing Tifosi and Silver Arrows to claim victory on his ‘home’ streets.

Redemption had been served for the Australian, and it definitely tasted sweet!

Weekend spoils for Red Eye’s VIP guests

While Red Bull Racing put on a show out on the circuit, Red Eye Events were busy showing it’s guests the various thrills the streets of Monaco has to offer. From watching practice sessions from our very own Super Yacht in a prime berth beneath the big screen; to Red Eye’s legendary Yacht party on Friday night, Monaco had it all. Eddie Jordan and the Robbers entertained the crowd as night time fell on the star-studded harbor, supported by the amazing Stereo Twins.

The atmosphere in the buildup and during the race was second-to-none. The city became alive with the sound of hybrid Formula 1 engines, not a single terrace or yacht was left empty as fans peered on watching the breath-taking action unfold.

Refreshments were poured and canapes served to ensure guests didn’t miss a moment, and as the chequered flag dropped the sound of horns from each of the Super Yachts filled the air, providing an awe-inspiring climax to the weekends racing. But the partying doesn’t stop there, as the podium celebrations got underway so did Red Eye’s very own party.

But if you want to find out what happens at this exclusive party you’ll have to find out for yourself. Please contact us for any information on the 2019 race, or see here for further details.
